Who we are

Our website address is: shorethings-chs.com

Shore Things is just getting started. Think of it as the beginning of a growing guide to life along the South Carolina coast. We’re adding new discoveries all the time from coastal living tips and local favorites to stories that bring the Lowcountry to life. Whether you’re visiting, moving in, or simply dreaming of the beach, there’s more to come and we’re glad you’re here for the journey.

This site is built on local roots. I’ve lived on Isle of Palms for over 15 years, where my wife and I are raising our three daughters, each born and raised right here. My wife is actively involved in the community, and with over 25 years as an IT consultant, I’m bringing my professional experience to something close to home: celebrating and supporting the place we love.

Amazon Associates

Shore Things participates in the Amazon Associates program which allows Shore Things to include Amazon product links on our website and blog posts.

At Shore Things, we strive to hand-pick items that reflect the charm, practicality, and aesthetic of the southern coastal lifestyle. From beach gear and home accents to local dining and historical experiences, every recommendation is thoughtfully curated to resonate with the rhythms of coastal living.

This site is a part-time passion project created and maintained by a full-time professional who balances career commitments with a deep love for the Lowcountry. Shore Things is not just a resource—it’s also a social experiment. It explores how social media, AI tools, and affiliate marketing can be leveraged creatively and ethically to build a meaningful online presence.

We’re learning as we go, testing ideas, and refining our approach. Whether you’re a vacationer, a local, or just someone who dreams of salt air and southern hospitality, we hope Shore Things offers something useful, inspiring, or just plain fun
